It makes reference to the military so I think that must hold alot of significance for you...

Looking at the name itself with the spelling, I do think it is a very pretty and unique name. If you happen to be giving this name in honor of a fallen soldier by any chance, I think that is an excellent choice.

I agree with the answer regarding the spelling. If you are going to use a real word (refer to link below) you should use the correct spelling, because people will be confusing it for the rest of her life.

also when using a word that isn't commonly used as a name will lead many people to confuse it for something else. Candice, Katy, etc.

Not that these are reasons not to use the name just be aware of all the issues. One other suggestion, If you opt for a unique first name, make sure her middle name is something more standard and commonplace so later in life she may decide for herself.

Remember she will have to live with that name for (hopefully) a very long time

Cadence. It's pretty. She's not going to want to spell it for everyone her whole life. It's different enough without the spelling thing going on.

This is one of my favourite names. It is a name of both strength, and femininity.

No it is a made-up name. What about the classic Candence? or Prudence? or Katherine? It obviously is a mixture of these names and therefore is made-up and silly sounding. I heard the dumbest name the other day "Kaylana" how f**** stupid is that?
