I mean, they can be looking at a really amazing person. But, they wouldn't see that, because they are too blind to look past the color of their skin or their sexual preference.
&& If they are. Why can't they just keep their comments && feelings to themselves?

these are my opinions as addressed to a homophobic person.
Homosexuality is not an abomination. I am a firm believer that Gay's and Lesbians were born that way. Why would someone chose to be so different? I am not gay, but some of my best friends are. They would give anything to be like other people and be normal. They did not chose to be this way I can assure you. What they do with each other in a sexual manner can be concieved differently. I personally don't have a problem with it. It is their choice and if that is what makes them both happy and they do not drag other people into it, then I see no problem with it. Other people cannot even fathom any justification in two men together and those are the people most commonly known as homophobic in our society.
Gay people might be frowned upon, but so are people who are racist and judge people on the conditions that they were born with.
And tell me this, If God is errorless, how come there are Gays?
I think that God placed homosexuals on earth to teach us acceptance and equality. Noone is getting the point though.
Do you honestly think that a homosexual with a choice would CHOSE to be so different? Do you think that my 13 year old nephew would have cried every night and wrote a 12 page suicide letter if he coulod have just CHANGED his sexuality?
Let me ask you this, can you CHANGE your sexuality? Right now. Try it. Can you CHOSE to be gay right now? I didn't think so. And why not? Because you were born that way.
Do you think that God put homosexuals on this earth so that you all could have someone to abuse?

As the old saying goes; people fear what they don't understand.
The problem with most people is that they are too scared and freaked out by the whole idea of homosexuality, that they don't even want to take the time to try and get more information or be informed. Something else that is a problem is that most people are sheep. They just kind of wander around aimlessly until somebody tells them what to do or say. They have no self guidance, and they depend on other people to direct them. Thus, if they are being told that it is wrong, they have no inner voice telling them to challenge "traditional" beliefs.
The point is to keep an open mind, despite what others may say. What, and how you feel, should never be used against you.
Don't become camouflage like everyone else!

I look at it this way. I'm straight & all the bull that people could give me would never make me gay, so I also don't understand why people can't just leave you alone. Nothing in the world is going to change either one of us, but some people are just idiots,ignore them & try & be happy

Because they are just people. Since when have [the majority of] people learn to think and speak out? Its too bad, but its just the way it is. Ignorance and insecurity does the job... in such a case ignoring the offender works for me.
