It smells like a rat has died in our heating/a/c unit at our office, but our bos is too cheap to fix the problem and it is causing employees to get flu-like symptoms. Where would someone file an annonymous complaint - like to the board of health maybe? anyone have any suggestions? it needs to be annonymous and for the state of califonia.

try this website - cal osha - california occupational safety and health should be the best bet

also try to raise a stink to the higher ups - depending on where you work - human resources, etc. no guarantee how fast the government will work without direct proof. may get a faster response internally

If people are coming down with flu like symptoms i would definitely write a complaint as this cold be legionaries this is a rare form of pneumonia this is contracted through inhales mist through water supplies which are contaminated with legionnaires such as air conditioning units if left untreated this disease can be fatal, it is not contagious you can only catch through contaminated water not from one person to another, symptoms are headache, flu like symptoms, muscle pain and feeling generally unwell, these symptoms are followed by nausea and vomiting, shivers and diarrhea may occur, dry cough and chest pain may occur also, you really must get this sorted quickly

CALL OSHA they will come out and investigate. Google the number, you can probably email them, they have to keep in annonomous. They are in business to protect YOU the worker. They WILL take care of this and any other issues of concern.
