Does anybody have the same issues. My husband can't drive with her sitting behind him or in the middle. The seat only fits behind the passenger side which is still a tight squeeze.

That's just the way it is in a lot of cars, if you get your carseat installed by the police they will tell you that is why you see so many moms riding in the back!

Lucky for me I am 5'2" so I am not too squashed, but it is still tight!

A lot of people have that problem. I have found that is it better to try out different seats in the car/van/truck to see how things fit and if the seat can be placed properly in the vehicle. Some seats have more of in incline than others. Most places (like Toys R Us or Target) will allow you to place seats in your car to try them out. You might have to get a brand new car seat.
