You should still put it under the Jacking spot on your vehicle. Typically there is a peg that you would insert the factory jack into.. use this spot to jack your vehicle up using the floor jack.

Just in front of the rear tire, or just behind the front tire, depending on what part of the car you want jacked up you will see a section of the crimp in the body under the rocker panel that is specially designed for the factory jack to fit into. Usually a cutout in the body seam where the rocker panel joins the body. If using a floor jack instead of the factory crank jack then just put the floor jack saddle under that spot. It is simply one section of the "unibody" structure that is reinforced a bit more to handl the weight. Also owner's manual should show a picture of this in the "tire changing" instruction section if you still have doubts when looking at the car yourself.

The jack should firmly support a section of the frame. Sometimes that's on the side of the car under the door.
You may see a hole in the frame near the side of the car to receive the lifting part of the jack that came with the car (to keep it from slipping out). That would be a good place to use.
A floor jack usually has 4 teeth that point straight upward on its lifting saddle. Avoid having one of those bear against the side of the car - paint scratches or deformation may result otherwise.

There should be a lift point under/on the rocker panel, which is the bottom trim of the car, towards the rear of the car. It should look like a little forged dent in the rocker and/or maybe even have an arrow marked under there. Don't lift the body part unless there is that liftpoint because you'll damage the body.
