Small towns in the midwest...or coastal communities (usually dependant on tourism and fishing). I think they are more quaint and the social interaction is wonderful.

I love the 2 communities I have lived in like this...and I am glad to be out of the big city.

Good schools, a nice park or two, community events, neighborhood watches, no big stinky factories or Walmart.
