How is Kobe not even in the question?

Last year Kobe was the best player in the league. He was unreal. Despite the media bias (come on , FOURTH in MVP voting?) the majority of NBA players named Kobe as the best player in the league.
Kobe is the most skilled player in the game. While a little less athletic than freaks like Lebron or Tmac, he more than makes up for it with his skill, coordination, and basketball IQ. Also Kobe is a very good defender and is the most mentally strong player since Jordan, and has been ridiculously clutch in his career.

I must say Lebron is awesome. Its only a matter of time before he overtakes Kobe as the best overall player in the game. He might even show that this year and for sure should overtake him within the next few years. But Kobe was the better player last year and I think its premature to knock Kobe down when he's not even playing on a good knee right now. But even on a not 100% knee, Kobe is playing ridiculously well. His teamwork and leadership are really showing and he is looking for his teamates and scoring within the flow of the offense. When his knee gets 100% look out!

Wade. He led his team to the NBA Finals and averaged over 30 pts against the Mavericks. People say that Lebron and Kobe are better than Wade because Wade receives alot of help from his team (especially Shaq), but if everyone saw the finals last year, they would've seen that Shaq barely did anything to help them win. Neither did Walker, Haslem, Mourning, Williams, or Payton--it was all Wade.

properly, I say Kobe. he's fairly no longer overvalued (none of them are), although the media worships him to a wayyy more desirable uncomfortable element than LeBron and co. so I p.c.. him. Oh yeah, and dont bash on Iverson. The dude's a extraordinary participant and a one guy 40 5-50 win crew in the right placing, Detroit became only a nasty tournament for him is all. shocked Denver wasnt as undesirable a vacation spot both.

There has been so many people saying LeBron James but I don't agree. If you ask me, Dwayne Wade is the best young player in the NBA today.

Dwayne Wade is the best player in the league. To be the leader of a team that won the NBA championship last season at his young age is remarkable.

best all around I would have to say Lebron James. Tim Duncan and Steve Nash are both great all around players also. Not taking anything away from the others, they are just not as good in every aspect of the game.

umm u left Kobe Bryant out.. he is definetly the best player right now. Just look at the Lakers.
Lebron makes his team better? The Lakers are a top five team right now. The Cavs are not even at the top of the pathetic East.
Kobe Kobe Kobe, hands down

Can't believe no one has mentioned Matrix, i.e. Shawn Marion (20 ppg, 9.4 boards, 2 assts, 2stls, 1.8 blks, 2 to's per game. all that while shooting 51% from the floor and 86% from the line)...now that's a STUD.

After him, Kevin Garnett, King James, Rashard Lewis (he's another 'unkown' monster for the Sonics) and Gilbert Arenas. Those are my top five.

I think it's Allen Iverson. He leads the league in pts per game, and although he's a bit selfish, he averages 7.3 assts per game
