Girls are insecure for many reasons, they have been hurt before, they feel overweight, they line themselves up with the 1% model population! or the media.
just learn to be sensitive find yourself a friendthat has character that likes to do things like serve others. maybe go to a youth group or a young adult church and their are plenty of amazing friends there.. thats where i have my lifelong friends.. but NO ONE IS PERFECT.just remember that

You dont know who you can trust really, only yourself. I am in the same situation. That is why I have very few friends. It's hard to open up to people who may just hurt you in the end. But that goes with all types of relationships too. Just take a chance but keep your guard up. Yes, girls can be very sneaky and backstabbing. That's why most of my friends are guys, and the girlfriends that i do have I've know almost half my life. It's better to have just a handful of really good friends than a whole bunch of not-so-good ones.

The best way to know when to trust someone is not to say anything mean to them or partake in the conversation when they say mean things about others. So like if someone is trashing another girl you say "I don't trash people like that" and look at them like they are REALLY lame. If they are cool, they will not do it anymore. Or if they are trash, they will not hang around you.

You can't trust women. Unless they are secure. And most women are not. Keep that in mind in any situation and you will be fine. Just be secure in yourself and screw the others that are not. And knowing you mostly can't trust women helps in the sting when they say things.

Girls are vicious and more so than boys. Girls know how to intentionally cause almost permanent mental and emotion damage. Boys duke it out and leave it at that. Knowing this intellectually might help. Don't take it personally if you can.

Look at what is on the television, in the magazines, on the internet. After doing so, ask this question to yourself again, and the answer will magically appear...

You can trust yourself! You can trust that if someone lets you down or hurts you that you won't fall apart. You can trust that you will be strong enough to move on from their insecurities.
