Not sure about water pressure.

The boiler does light. Water doesn't seem to be flowing though.

I think the sunvic valve actuator might have went (it's broke before). ...?

Boiler Not Lighting

It could be many faults causing this problemon your boiler. If you have a permanent light, is it staying on. If not, it means the Thermocouple has failed. If the ppilot light stays on, then the fault could be with the Pump. Switch the boiler on and put a scredriver against the pump, and put your ear against the other end of the screwdriver, and try to hear if the pump is going. You don't say if it is a combi boiler, or freestanding which makes it more difficult to make a diagnosis. try to give more details.

There is a pilot light on your boiler which should always be lit look through the sight glass and see if it is lit, it is a very small blue flame. If not your boiler should have details on the panel how to re light it, it is usually something very simple to do.
If this doesn't work phone your gas supplier.

Is it possible to fix this myself?

Hi mate, names Den. sorry i did'nt get to you sooner,If your boiler is lit and all your stats are set to call for heat and/or hot water, go to your sunvic 3 way actuator if it is working the little metal slide arm on the side of the valve will be slack to move back and forth, if u/s then you will feel resistance, but don't dispare
at the end of the slide arm slot, there is a lock off point to overide the valve and set it to manual, do this and leave it there if your heating/hot water comes on until you can get an engineer to call. ( he dos'nt have to be C.O.R.G.I. reg. as he dos'nt have to brake the gas line, plumber will do.

is the pilot light on if yes then the boiler might have over heated and shut itself off thereby needs the on button pressed to start it operating again but not knowing your boiler i cant say where your switch would be positioned

Check the pilot light..if it is out then it is probably the thermocouple...You can buy universal replacements in B&Q...very easy to change....don't really need a heating engineer because if you do it wrong it won't light.

Most items are easily fixed on a hot water tank. Check your Lowes or Home Depot store for items and maybe even a dot it yourself book. (check the index and make sure it covers hot water tanks)

Yes, in most states it is illegal for you to work on your A/C and Hot Water tank, but most stores install for you so I doubt it is difficult.
