At work I would say "Happy Holidays" because some people may be Jewish...to my family I would say "Merry Christmas" since they all celebrate Christmas

In the traditional sense, Merry Christmas is very common in the U.S, and most places arount the world. But by saying that, you have to look deeper into the words. Merry Christmas is only directed to one day; Christmas. While Happy Holidays refers to all of the upcoming holidays ( Christmas, New Years, Ect... )

Anyone who wants to be politically correct has no balls (oh god...that wasn't politically correct to say, was it?). Who cares if one says Merry Christmas or Feliz Navidad or Froh Weihnact or Happy HOlidays. Why not some sense of reality and realize that whatever one says, the meaning is still there: God bless you and have a great christmas.

Well they say to be PC you should say Happy Holidays. However, there would be no holidays if it were not for Jesus Christ. I say Merry Christmas. If it offends someone then so be it. There is probably a reason that they are getting offended because they need to come to know the true meaning of the season. If someone tells you it offends them for you to say it that way...simply tell them it offends you not to!

Y'know EVERYONE knows that Happy Holidays really *means* Christmas - Hannukah is a very minor holiday in the Jewish religion and in fact is barely celebrated in Israel.
Say Merry Christmas if you prefer. I get tired of this kind of veiled speech, too.

Merry Christmas, there would be no holiday season according to the western world without Christmas.

I think they probably say Happy Holidays because maybe they are unsure of who celebrates Christmas. So they say Happy Holidays so they don't offend the people who do not celebrate Christmas.
Merry Christmas

Tell them that Merry Christmas is your beliefs and that Happy Holidays is offensive to you.
