Will the satellite radio I bought to listen to xm on one day also be able to recieve and play siriuis satellite channels? Maybe?

No. One day there will be a receiver available that can pick up both XM and Sirius. This was a condition of them receiving their FCC licenses was that they were to promise to work towards making a receiver capable of receiving both services. However, the FCC never set a time frame for this to happen so we haven't seen anything thus far that could receive both. If you are implying if there was a merger, would you be able to receive both, the answer is no. The receiver is physically not able to receive outside of the XM allocation, not to mention that XM and Sirius use entirely different encoding altogether. Any such merger would definitely be blocked anyhow since that would create a satellite radio monopoly.
