Are you happy with your party's performance and direction? And if you disillusioned, why? Does it choose the views that you have, or is it just the only alternative to a worse party?

No, I am registered as an independent for this reason. I tend to vote Democrat but I am a moderate. I used to vote Republican more often but they have gone too far right for me. I am a fiscal moderate. I am a social liberal in that I am uncomfortable with government infringement on individual liberty and the legislation of morals. I don't think homosexuality undermines my heterosexual marriage and if you ban abortion you will just have unsafe illegal abortion. More should be done to educate and provide access to birth control to limit the need for abortion in my opinion. I think both parties have corruption, although recently the Republicans have done much worse in this area, probably because they were holding most of the power. I think big money and lobbiest have way too much influence on both parties.

I agree with 80-90% of my parties views on at least some level.. I of course feel stronger about some issues over others.. and my party of choice represents my thoughts fairly well. I am not loyal to my party simply because it's my party.. but because it is the best choice of what represents me.. if a better representation where to come about, I would choose that party.

No it does not express my opinions and views correctly. I simply chose the lesser of two evils. If other parties were viable choices I would support the Green Party, maybe Im not sure since what is the point really? Both parties are corrupt and serve their corporate masters while pretending to do the good of the people.
