I feel terribly down.Tired, bored, and quite negative in general.I blame it to the fact that I'm looking for a job and have nothing to do all day.I thought I would find a job easier but it's not like that.Could it be because of that that i feel so?

It took me 3 months to find a part-time job to keep my family alive while I kept looking for a full-time job and 10 more months after that to find a full-time job. I felt just like you until I was reminded that I did have a job the whole time...my job was finding a job.

It's a very serious job that requires a lot of work! Get a desk, a headquarters, make to do lists, sign up for meetings and trainings at the career center, keep an ongoing list of jobs you need to apply for, have applied for, and have interviewed for, be on the internet daily looking, develop and polish resumes, cover letters, thank you cards. There's plenty to do and the sooner and better you do it, the faster you will be employed. Once I looked at it this way and really knuckled down, I was well-employed in three months flat. This was at a state agency that took a month to call me after I applied and another month after the interview to make an offer. Most employers move much faster than that.

Start at 8am, give yourself two breaks and one lunch, and quit at 5pm. It's a job. Feel free to go out "after work", you put in a hard and productive day like anyone else. And don't forget weekends are yours just as much as they are for the paid workers. Also be sure to take all work holidays that paid employees get.

I think if you see yourself as a self-employed salesperson diligently searching for the right customer to purchase your very special product and get to work doing so, that will help you immensely.

Sounds like you have some situational depression. Try seeing someone who can fix you a resume rather than just filling out job applications. You might also try going to a temp agency. They can get a few hours at least until you find something permanent. Make sure it,s a temp to hire place so if thewy send you to a nice place you can 'jump ship' without a penalty. Good luck.

It takes time, it took me 1 year to find a full time job again.
but you can find many part time jobs around.

1. Go to career center. and headhunter for help.
2. Keep looking job online, on yellow page, don't give up.
3. if 1 and 2 doesn't work go to school to get better education, skill.
4. if 1 and 2 doesn't work, open your own business
other options includes

5. Volunteer your time to help community.
6. Develop some interest.

could give you more ideas if you are in my area ( boston)

If you are over 18, have you ever considered going into business and working from home? It can be much more fulfilling to work for yourself rather than others.
