For about 9 days now I am struggling to stay asleep at night. I am waking up constantly tossing and turning and when I do get up in the morning I feel like someone beat me, still really tired and achy. But I'm not sick or anything...anyone been thru this?

Yes I do, but mine is menopause and asthma related. If you are over 45, see your Dr. you may be going through menapause or just starting. Sometimes the symptoms start even earlier.

i have a sleep disorder (restless leg syndrom) so i definately know what it's like to lose sleep....and i know how it feels to be physically taxed becausse of lack of sleep (at my worst, before medication, i'd sleep for no more than 60 seconds at a time and started hallucinating!!).......i'd suggest at home treatment for insomnia to begin with.....healthy diet and some exercise, use your bedroom for sleeping ONLY (and sex!)...don't read in bed or watch t.v.....don't drink anything for a couple hours before bedtime....keep regular bedtime hours....go to bed and wake up at the same time every day....try some meditation or other relaxation techniques (progressive body relaxation, deep breathing, etc)...try not too stress out over too much as that definately won't help......and even if you're not sleeping, it is good for you to lay down and give your body a break for a while....so, even tho you're not sleeping like you want to-you're still helping your body out by giving it at least some rest
good luck...and sweet dreams!!

Yes, I have been through it for the longest time... You're not alone. It's most likely just stress.
