It's no more possible than you being able to spell it, let alone do it!

Its certainly not possible NOW. I would have thought we'd have seen something in the news about that little discovery, dont you?
Contrary to what a lot of people are saying the best physical theories we have now dont rule out the possiblity of going forward or backward in time - going forward in time is very easy. If you travel close to the speed of light you will experience time dilation and return to earth in what might have seemed like a year to you but could have been 1000 years on Earth.
Going backwards in time we would need an exotic place or pathway - its best thought of like that rather than as some machine. Some have speculated that the necessary distortions in spacetime may exist near to blackholes which is fortunate because one thing the laws do say about 'closed time-like curves' is that they cant take anything further back in time than when they were created.
I don't think not seeing travellers from the future really proves anything. I doubt they'd be advised to advertise their presence thereby making it impossible to get home - if you accept the many worlds interpretation of quantum mechanics or endanger their very existence if you think there's just one timeline though that does lead inevitably to logical paradoxes.

maybe, however you will not be able to travel back in time before it was invented as you need some "apparatus" at the other time to receive you and send you back. thats why no one has come back to our time.
i did here a few years ago that they had sent some small (and i mean really small) particles back in time (about a billionth of a second) but that this was only acheived by destroying the particles, so probably not the best idea for cheating on the lottery!!!!!

Yes... time travel IS possible... I have done it many times. It does require the ability to enter the correct dimension of the 10 other dimensions which exists besides this one. There are an infinite number of parallel universes and an infinite number of alternate realities where the limitations of the 'laws' of physics we are faced with in our particular 3 dimensional universe do not exist in the same form. Time travel is possible in many of the alternate universes but you have to leave this dimension to have access to them.
No... I am not going to tell you how to do it. I figured it out after working on the problem for over 40 years, I'm not going to give that knowledge away. I've given you enough clues on how it works to get you started. Good luck and be careful.

I "time-traveled" just last month...
Got on a plane at 4PM in Tokyo on Friday, landed in Los Angeles at 9:00 AM on the same day. Woo-hoo, time-travel! ;-)
It's not possible now. It's doubful that it ever will be possible...think about it, if time travel were going to ever be possible, we would have had visits from the future by now. Since we haven't, it's very likely never going to be possible.

i must had watch the same program as ASSAYE10. there is a scientist in america that has sent back subatomic particles in time by curving time in a vortex of lasers that he invented himself. he now trying to built a bigger vortex to sent back messages. but the only problem is the the device will only go back to the day he switch it on, ie. when he built the larger device and switch it on he expecting a message from his future self. however time travel is happening all around us 'einstein theory of relativity' and quantum physics deals with these issues (im no scientist only a lay man interest). what i do know for a fact is that all the manmade satelites have to reset their onboard clocks each year by .02 of a second due to the time lag in space. the faster you travel the slower the time is relative to you as to someone standing still. this is notice more so if you were traveling towards the speed of light for one day say by the time you got back after your 24 hr spin, you notice everyone or thing has aged by 10 or 100 or 1000years (depending on how close you got to the speed of light). that has been proven by einstein theory. so thats future time travel. now for past time travel again with einstein theory, the closer you get to edge of a black hole singularity time is slow down and curve back on itself by the intense gravity, so if you could orbit around the event horizon say for 24hrs and manage to escape the gravity, you would notice that everything is 10 or 100yrs younger (depending on how close you were to the singularity). Now back to that scientist at the begining of my answer he using the same principles as the black hole but instead of using gravity he using lasers (light) in a vortex pattern to curve time back on itself. quantum physics states that time travel could be happening right now but it would not effect this reality because if you went back and kill you great great grandfather you would create another time dimension which would split of from this reality. no matter how many times you went back to change history it won't change this reality but just make more split dimension(or other realities) until infinity.
notes: the old belief was that time was absolute (the same) everywhere in the universe
but now with einstein (stephen hawkings and other famous scientist) have proven that time is only relative to where you are in space. space time the fourth dimension.
the image of the sun that you see in the day is actually approx 8 minutes old (thats how long its takes the light from the sun to get here). basically the sun could go nova and we wouldn't know for another 8 minutes which proves that time is not absolute because if it was we would see it going nova straight away.
forgive me if any of the above info is not totally correct, its my understanding of it which is changing every day as i read more books on this subject.

Some very long answers there but I think it was Stephen Hawking who said it is impossible - if it were possible, someone from the future would have been back already.

its impossible to travel back in time. As for traveling into the future, you're doing it right now. Time is always moving forward, and you're moving with it...

No, time is only a human experience. You canot travel in time any more than you could change the wavelength for the color Red.

Theoretically its possible, probability is extremely low.
Think about this... have there ever been people from the future arrive in our time or are there any reports of people in history being from other times?
