All but 3 of the original 20 guests to my best mate's 18th birthday have cancelled due to work or lack of money.
She's one of the best friends ever.
It's on saturday. Advice/answers/HELP PLEASE!

Tell her there is a change in plans, take her out to dinner at a nice restaurant, get her a gift for her birthday. Just do something for her that will make her 18th Birthday memorable.

That's a tough one. If it's because of work ask them if there is a co-worker that they can change shifts with. I don't understand the lack of money problem...money for a gift? If it's for a gift, tell them no gift is necessary, their presence at the party is enough. If everyone is supposed to bring food or drink, maybe your mate's parents would chip in. Good luck.

I would figure out some cheap party ideas to do instead. Make the party something they dont have to shell out a ton of dough for. There's some links below that might be able to help you....

if you have to, reschedual it, thats really the only option you have, take her out with the 3 guest that can make it and telll her theres a surprise for her later the month or what ever, good luck, you a good friend.

In this case, I would take her out to a nice restaurant and maybe have people meet up later for a drink or cocktail.. That way they will not have to shell out alot of money...

Tell them it isn't necessary for them to bring gifts the idea is to celebrate her 18th and let her know that they support her and think she is special.

get married even if noone shows up!!! or is it that they no this person treats you bad and is useing you so they wont waste time going at all???? if not ,then you dont need then as long as you have ur wedding and family there !then go get married and wish you the best ,and get the priest blessings and god that all you need!!!!!

Take her out on your own......pedicure, manicure...lunch...shoe shopping.....dinner....drinking and dancing that night!
