No, I did fruits first then veggies, and my daughter pretty much ate whatever I gave her. Maybe if you give him baby cereal you could mix the fruit in with that. I used to do that for my daughter's breakfast. Or, even though it sounds gross, if my daughter didn't want to eat one thing at a meal, I'd put both the foods on the spoon at the same time and she'd usually eat it that way. Like for lunch if you give him a fruit and a veggie, put a little bit of both on the spoon, and see if he'll eat them combined. Otherwise, just give him what he will eat and keep trying occasionally.

I had the exact problem! I thought it was because the fruit was too sweet for him. Our pediatrician said it was just fine and not to worry. Now that he is 20 months old he only eats fruit not veges at all! Enjoy this time with your baby! It goes by way to fast!

Don't sweat it. Kids like what they like. Ask your doctor about a liquid vitamin to supplement the fruit and continue with the veggies. Eventually, he'll be old enough to gnaw on a real bananna and he'll love it (probably). But, if he doesn't. try mixing in some apple sauce into rice cereal and sneak it in that way.

If you are using jars, maybe try fresh fruit. You can puree it yourself and save the extra for later. We have not switched to fruit yet for my little one. We are going through all the green vegetables first. Then we are going to go to meats then finally fruit. We want to get her used to the foods that kids seem to like the least.

He may just not like fruits. My son wouldn't eat peaches for awhile. It turned out he had thrush and the peaches hurt his mouth. He got medicine and he ate peaches. He never did eat brocolli. Your son will eat fruit when he wants to. If you worry about vitamins. Talk to your doctor.

My daughter likes the green stuff, peas, green beans, garden vegs. she spits the fruits. She is tube fed but is allowed to taste her foods. I mix fruit in cereal and give it to her through her tube. Maybe try mixing his fruit with cereal. Also you can mix a little fruit in with his vegs. Good luck.

I didn't, sorry. But I would wait a month and introduce some fruit. It may take a while but keep trying.
