There was a teacher at a high school that assigned a similar question as his final exam essay question. "What is courage?" 50% of the grade was on getting the answer right. One kid turned in 1 sheet of nearly blank paper. All it said was, "This is."
He got an A.

Courage is to do something that you know has to be done even if its something you would not normally or ever do. Courage is standing up for what you believe no matter how many people try to discourage you.

to build up the strength to do something you have not been able to do previous to this building of inteluctual strength.
ie the courage to get up and dance infront of people on stage.
I had to build up the intelectual strength to get up and dance infront of tousands of people. which i would not have been able to do
ie courage to stand out against the rest, non comformity
you have to build the intelectual strenght to break away from the norm and be yourslef
