Can they technically be considered a "Hair Band" Why or Why not?

No. Hair bands like Warrant, Damn Yankees, Bon Jovi, etc. had one critical element to become hair bands, aisde from the hair, of course - the power ballad love song.

No such thing in Metallica's history, they are metal. Metal is different from Hair.

I don't think they can technically be considered a hair band seen as the music they created wasn't they same as the music created by other hair bands.

Umm no. Best way to put it is Boy band metal. Metallica had long hair, but didn't have the sound or the image to back up that scene.

Yes, it was the era in which they were huge they were labeled a hair band! I guess if you consider them hair but personally, they were metal!

hair bands are only fashion rock, they never used make up or put acts on stage
