I was planning on getting him the Nintendo Wii (he likes video games), but of course can't find it anywhere. I got him a nice I-Pod last year, so no need for that. Now I need to think of something cool, unique, and about $300. Any ideas? He's a typical guy that likes gadgets, tools, video games, etc. Thanks for any help.

you could get him speakers to go with his ipod? Or a portable PSP

You can either put a deposit on the Nintendo and wait for new stock to come in and give him a card telling him what's coming. Or you can take the $300 bucks and buy him a gift certificate to his favorite store where he can pick exactly what he wants/needs. Or take the money and open an investment account with low fees (perhaps a no-load mutual fund.) Merry Christmas. Below links are a start.

You can do what my husband and I are doing. Instead of exchanging gifts, we are either going to donate to toys for tots or buy a whole lot of dry and canned goods for the food bank.
