Depends on the mood really. Generally fave male singer is Matt Bellamy (Muse) and female singer Alison Goldfrapp (Goldfrapp). Also credit to David Bowie, Jeff Buckley, Nick Drake, KT Tunstall

wow what an impossibly hard question! i like honest and pure singers. here are some of my favourite singers and good songs theyve done:
dazed and confused - led zeppelin (rob plant)
under the bridge - red hot chili peppers (anthony kiedis)
i think its going to rain today - nina simone
hitler in my heart - antony and the johnsons (antony hegarty)
also lots of black soulful singers like lemar but not actually lemar! i just havent discovered one that i love yet, i just think they have great voices

I'd say David Bowie.
His voice is just so amazing.
But with female singers I'd say Björk, her voice is great and very unique. (However I am Icelandic so I might be biased).
