Most hot water heaters have a setting dial. Some have a small access panel over them. Just a few screws hold it on. It's at the bottom, remove it and you will see the dial. It has a recomended setting and just turn it up from there. Remember it waill take a while before the higher temp will actually take effect. Maybe an hour or more. Most water heaters and some shower valves have an anti-scald device too. Just try not to turn it up too much. You'll notice a slight increase in a short time. Good Luck.

bob & joel have the right idea, just remember to use caution when doing so, as it is electrical and moreover 220V.
use a rubber handled screwdriver, and if you don't know the temperature now, place a food meter under the hot wtr faucet and raise accordingly. 150-160 is probably ok for what you're looking for...just be cautious and replace covers when finished and don't stand in the water to do this, and wear rubber soled shoes if you're not familier with this kind of work.
last resort: call an electrician or someone that has done this before.

There should be a red dial close to the bottom of the tank. The dial usually has a line where it is reccomended. Just turn it slightly up from there.
