Look at the children before they are 5. Are they obese then? I don't think so. My son was a picky eater. After my mom died he was very angry and turned to eating. He is a heavyweight now. He was fine prior to tragedy.

My sister and I were also thin as children, then we gained weight after we moved into my grandparents home. We were abused and starved. In our case, I think our bodies started hoarding fat cells. My grandmother would make a huge tray of chicken cutlets and we would smell them and be very hungry. After she would go out to play cards, we looked for the chicken and there wasn't any. She took it with her!

My grandfather would come home and he was blind and cook for us. To this day, I cannot eat pasta, hotdogs and pork & beans together.

There are two examples. That is some of the causes for obesity in America, this great country.
