No, not 3/4 or 5/8 inch hardwood flooring. Real wood will lose its straight edge in the process of drying. That's why mallet type nailers are used to straighten out and pin the wood to the subfloor.
Your only option is a hardwood laminate, which is much more stable than solid wood and can be glued down to a properly cured concrete slab. The main issue with this method of installation is the flatness of the concrete (it's called deflection). You may find soft spots on the floor where the concrete dips.

different manufactures have different requirements for installations. refer to the manufactures instructions and get the floor that best fits your application
