There is this girl that i know from school and we started to become friends so i went to her house for a sleep over and it was all weird!! she is 13 and she is the youngest child and she has all these baby toys laying around the house! And when I say baby, I'm talking about Dora, Elmo, and Sesame Street. I thought it was because her parents would babysit little kids and when I asked her if they did she said "No they don't babysit anyone." Whats wrong with her??

The toys wern't just placed neatly on the shelf, they were all over the place, in the basement in the living room and in her room!

You became friends with her before you knew about the toys right? Did you think she was weird then?

I'm ALOT older then you and have a rock n' roll Elmo in my room and I don't think it's weird. If you are judging her because of something different then you are not a very good friend.

nothings wrong. My friend is 15 and she STILL watches POWER RANGERS (ugh, how childish is that?). My 10 year old sisters still watch Nick JR.!!

There's nothing wrong, really. Its what she's grown up with. Yea her parents are probably trying to make her stay the baby.
She might also not have many friends, and therefore has stuck with baby toys to comfort her.
Heck, I still watch Barney every once in a while when my 2 year old brother turns it on!
Hey, my friends and I are 16 and we have Hello Kitty dolls n stuff in our rooms. They're just soo cute!

People mature slower/faster than you. Its a (strange) way of life, and just accept hers! Surely, you didnt start liking her cause you thought she wasn't a toddler at heart. Just act casual about it and forget it. Does it really hurt to surround yourself with cute n cuddly toys??
Good luck hon. Be smart, don't start!

Maybe they dont babysit, but maybe they have little cousins or somehting come over...Either way, she isnt weird. Lots of older people enjoy collecting childs things, like Elmo, or Sesame Street, Spongebob, whatever...Just ask her whose toys they are.

There is nothing wrong... maybe by protecting her childhood years she maybe somewhat shielded from this hateful world that we live in. I think she should to some extent continue being a child as long as she could. Becoming an adult brings a lot of responsibilities...

Better childhood toys than guys and adult toys!!!!!!!!

some ppl never grow up i guess. lol i got a tickle me elmo when i was 16 and i collect barbies. so maybe she just likes toys. i know tons of ppl who love toys...i mean of all kinds...from baby toys to those big flying toys that adults play with. theres nothing wrong with it. maybe its just not your thing. :) i still have my dolls from when i was little....um i dont play with any of these. it started with collecting bears...i just wanted something for the bed. maybe thats what happened with her. maybe those things make her happy. im 24 and i watch nickeloden like its the best thing on tv. lol gotta love spongebob.

love jen.

I still have stuffed animals and a few of my baby books from when I was a baby, and I'm 20 now. If that makes me weird, then so be it, as the opinion of others never really mattered to me. They have significant sentimental value to me, and I would like my children to have them one day. Don't be such a judgmental brat towards other people, it'll come back to bite you. I was working on cars with my dad when I was 13, so what? It made me happy. If it's not hurting anyone else and it makes that individual happy, then who are you to judge?

maybe she is holding on to her childhood. have you ever watched Peter pan? the kids want to never grow up. The thought of growing up might scare her so she surrounds herself with baby toys.

Or maybe she had a sibling die at a young age and she is morning it
