If this is an optical mouse - make sure you use a dark plain mouse mat. This happened to me too.

i had the same problem with my laptop too!
it's difficult if yours is a laptop since i had a touchpad on mine, i can't replace it. the difficulty in that is that it might have been grounded (meaning water has seeped into it, or water has entered it). letting your laptop dry is the best thing. it works for me. usually, if it is a laptop, you have to ensure that it is laid down properly - all surface flat. cause if not, the position or the tilted laptop can sometimes cause the mouse to go to the corner.
but if it is a PC then..
usually, you have to adjust the mouse adapter plugged at the back of the CPU, if it does not fix it, try another mouse. still if it doesn't work out then the mouse socket is damaged. check it to your local computer service center.

If it is an optical mouse, having red light coming from under it, Keep a cotton sheet under the mouse. Do not put the mouse on shiny material.
