Being the Red Sox organization or being a fan is ridiculous enough to begin with. All it proves is that the Red Sox would be just as happy beating the Yankees 18 times a year and losing all the rest of there games than even a world series. They are pathetic. I hear Leo Epstein is supposed to be a bright guy but this little move is not convincing anyone. They might get him and they might not but at the end of the day the Yankees will be in the world series next season and not the Red Sox!!

Hey, I have nothing against Boston fans. Every Yankee fan should own at least one as a pet!! Yes, it is ridiculous but what is more ridiculous is that the Sox are going through the motions as if they really want this guy. It's strictly PR. The funny thing about it is that they just might corner themselves into a contract and end up being stuck with this minor leaguer. I see no great impact to the division. Nothing that the Sox can throw at the Yankees can stop the Bombers from winning the division. If I were the Red Sox, I'd be looking over my shoulder at the Blue Jays. They're a better team then the Sox, JD (I'll never play in Philadelphia) Drew and all!

it truly is inevitable that once a favourite individual participant leaves a crew, it truly is followers are going to attempt to belittle him. And maximum of those Mets haters are probable indignant purple Sox followers. also I hate to burst your bubble, yet even with getting Bay, it will be a lengthy shot if the Mets by some ability were given to the international sequence. The pitching crew has in problem-free words one consistent starter, Johan Santana, and something of the lineup is somewhat lackluster. no one is acquainted with how Beltran, Delgado, and Reyes will come lower back from harm. and in spite of all of those gamers healthful and Bay something of the Mets lineup is unimpressive. One outstanding spot is that the Mets ought to have a prevailing list and per chance make a run for the wildcard if each and every thing is going of their want. Getting Bay, at the same time as no longer the purely right bypass the Mets ought to have made, is easily an progression, and shows that administration is a minimum of attempting to practice an excellent crew on the sphere, particularly of purely sitting lower back and hoping that the returning gamers will training guide the Mets lower back to the playoffs.

Mike and Mike have no clue. As of this morning it has been confirmed that the Red Sox ownership, Matsuzaka and Scott Boras are on a plane from LA to Boston. Expect to see this deal done by the deadline.

hey shamus i like your avatar as i'm part irish myself it's cool lmmfao anyway the latest on the matsuzaka deal is that him and his agent are on a plane from l.a to boston so you never know they might end up signing him after all but then again if they don't sign him they get their 51 million dollars back and would have successfully blocked the yankees from getting him so all in all it is what it is

Actually, the latest is that Matsuzaka is on his way to Boston and if that's the case it's probably to have him checked out by a Physician prior to announcing they've signed him.
I say who cares, bring him on!! You have to beat the best to be the best.

well if they don't get him, that's one year less the yankees would get him and it costs the sox nothing. they could always try to bid on him again next year. plus, who knows? he could blow out his arm this year in japan. or maybe when he does come to the big leagues,he might not be all that. you never know. either way, the sox aren't at a total loss.

It's scott Boras's fault, not the Sox. He's acting like Dice-K is a pure free agent, and he isn't. I hope Dice-K tells Boras to get a deal done.
