i put in a fiver and we only used it to drive the 2 miles home from the petrol station and then to do a quick shopping trip on monday, then yesterday smoke began to come out of the car and made a kind of groaning noise so we turned the engine off and havent used it since. It was towed to the garage today for servicing. What will happen to the car????? Will it be fixable?!

The car will be ok,after you have the tank pumped back out.May take a little while for car to run normal again. But someone HAS to get the wrong fuel out of the cars system.

it may be broken counting on how long hewr ran it with the diesel. The instant action is to thoroughly drain the tank and replace the gasoline with unleaded. Disconnect the carbi inlet and drain the carbi itself. If its a 50 /50 challenge you're able to be ok. that's the tank had a a million/2 tank on the time of fill. nevertheless i could drain the tank and top off and then restart the vehicle. you're able to be fortunate . I did this to a vehicle with out checking and that i replaced into recommended to do what I merely advised you.
