My uncle went to Dubai and asked if I want anything from there and I really wanted to go there but would definately love something from there but idk what. Is there anything special that only comes from there? I want the item to symbolize the country's glamour. What would you get?

If you want something that is special and is here from this region, then it will not anything that symbolize the country's glamour. This "glamour" things are made by foreigners.

Your uncle should get you something "typical" here from this region. Like: an arabian dress or abaya, a sisha pipe, an original arabian coffee pott or any other handicrafted thing. Maybe also some henna or the original eye make up ot the arabian girls. Also some nice crystal things are produced in the UAE. Another typical thing is incent and incent holder and arabian perfume and cute little bottles to put it in.

To see the glamour, ask your uncel to take you a whole lot of pictures. Maybe he will get you some jewellery "arabian style"?

Anyway, hope that you will like what ever he gets you.

Well.... I have been to Dubai many times and what I usually buy there is lots and lots of gold!! This includes earrings, bracelets, rings, necklaces, etc. Dubai is known as the 'City of Gold' with much variety, good quality, and unbeatable prices. You are really getting more for your money in Dubai. And if you like perfumes, they also have a lot of them there too. Lovely aromas, they are however quite strong compared to those found in western countries. I think these items definitely symbolize the country's (UAE) glamaour.

if he is going to stay later than 20 december, so the DSF will be on, you can ask for traditional jewellry, and as symbol of duabi, the symbol is Burj al arab, you can ask that model,
more over as glamour symbol nothing more than photographs.
