To be considered (CH BU) choice brilliant uncirculated, the coin must grade a minimum of MS-63. MS stands for mint state. Just because the coins holder is marked that, it does not make it true. On the other hand it could be correct. You need a dealer to grade it for you, or a coin club member who knows silver dollars. The 1878-S (San Francisco mint) had a mintage of 9,774,000 and in MS-63 is worth $51.00 to a dealer.

There are 10 stages of mint grades . Does the coin have a mint mark ? it could be placed under the eagles tail on the opposite . The coin could desire to be nicely worth everywhere between $20 and $ 8000 counting on the grade.

If it's genuinely in "Choice Brilliant Uncirculated" condition, it could be worth a few hundred dollars. It'd have to be accurately graded, though...a lot of coins in those cardboard holders are graded by the dealer, and many of them are over graded.
Good luck!
