The best way is to take off all the linens and not sleep on it for several days. During that time try to fluff it a little by hand. Since it's part of the mattress there isn't much else you can do.

You also should know that down does break down and deteriorate after time. A good down/feather combination bed that you just lay on the mattress will only last 2-3 years. Many people think they last forever but it just isn't so. Think back to when your mattress was new. If you got up off it, it would level itself out. Now it doesn't. Why? It's breaking down.

Put it in a clothes dryer, no heat cycle, with a pair of clean tennis shoes for about 45 minutes......
