I found out that the longest place name in the world is in Thailand. AND I found out that supercalifragilisticexpialidocious is a legitimate word (on Dictionary.com), but it's not in the OED.

What is the longest word in the dictionary? Serious answers, please. I don't want to hear "smiles", because there's a mile between the "S"'s. That joke went out like the dinosaurs.

Floccinaucinihilipilification, longer by one letter than antidisestablishmentarianism

The Oxford English Dictionary classifies it as 'humorous' and with 29 letters it is the longest words in the English language that can be used in everyday speech, unlike pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis, and other highly specific scientific words.
Hope this helps

Chemical Terms
Two chemical terms (3,641 and 1,913 letters long) have appeared in the Guinness Book of World Records. They were withdrawn because they have never been used by chemists, and there is no theoretical limit to the length of possible legitimate chemical terms. A DNA molecule could have a name of over 1,000,000,000 letters if it was written out in full.
