As with any online experience you should be cautious and teach the kids good netiquette.
Runescape filters out most profanity (although people have figured out how to get around some of it) including some words that really aren't profane except when used that way.
It's a good game, kind of simplistic but fun for most ages.

It's perfectly fine just dont allow the child to get addicted as that may cause them health problems with eyes and believe me the addiction problem with runescape is BIG.
Just let em play at least 1 or 2 hours a day ONLY.

Runescape was made for teens but has since taken to kids more and more lately iv played since the begining of RS2 and i have to say there is nothing wrong with letting kids play it if your gona fear fear for your pocket book becuase he "will" want membership which is 5 bucks a mounth i couldnt play now if i wasnt a member i just wouldnt be able to stand it

yea my dad, bro, and alot of friends play. its monitered 2 so if ne thing suspicious starts goin on then they will get kicked off! just as long as u dont giv eout ne info. thats the main thing..u gotta use ur head! i think its an awesome game, but quite addicting for some ppl! :D

I think so but make sure the kid wants to play it so he doesn't like get addicted to it.
