Other than PPC you can do in google, yahoo, mans etc etc, you can try:
1. posting newsletter
2. exchnage link (to credible websites with good rank)
3. submit your web page to search engines
4. email signature
5. join forums
6. Depend on your website, you can actually try offline campaign
or include your domain everytime you have promotion campaign on billboard, magz, newspaper
7. built a good website (SEO), make your visitor come again and recommend your website to their friend.

this is a broad question, there are multiple ways you can advertise with out google PPC
1. email signature
2. article writing
3. forum signatures
4. backlinking etc
there are many more ways to do so its just a broad question to answer as there are deep details on how to do so for each advertising tips
