Also the person earlier who said that all of the black people in the UK emigrated from africa is wrong. There is a high proportion of people from both africa and the west indies who emigrated by choice.

The fact that there are large amounts of blacks living in Britain is sad but explains the recent surge in crime over the past 20 years.
In Northern Ireland they call them "chalkies" but I don't know about the rest of the UK....

im from the UK, and im not sure, theoretically there shouldnt b a word because if u arnt racist apparently u shdnt notice the difference, just another person, if u do notice, u are a nazi. i suppose u can copy the yanks and say african-british, or something like that, but the scientific word is *****(id) or the other 'n' word of which we must not speak, as it comes from the latin word *****, which means black, and/or the french word noir

OMG, I doubt the UK is as assinine as the US. Since most are West Indian I'll say black since I'm also West Indian and we say Black in the Bahamas.

There isn't a politically correct term for them anywhere. As soon as people start calling them what they want to be called they change it again. Its part of how they pass racism down through the generations.

Yes, Africans. Because, unlike US, where 1st generation blacks were brought in as slaves, all blacks in UK immigrated on their own from Africa. So PC term is Africans.
You can also use the term "*******" safely, because racially, all blacks belong to that race, just as all whites belong to "Caucasian" race.
