Generally they go up in size (weight mainly, not so much lenght). Normally not as much as a whole pound, but about half a pound. This is more common though if you have two of the same sex. If you have a girl first, then number 2 could be more than a pound, if you had a boy frist, then a girl, they could come very close to the same weight. Two boys, or two girls, probably a half a pound difference. I had all the same, and each time they went up by about a half a pound.

first baby was 7lbs 2oz. 11 years later , 2nd also a boy was 7 lbs 15 oz. not much different daddy's too. look at your family history of you and sibling size or moms too.

Use up the dimensions a million & then use dimension two...it is inconceivable to be too colossal across the waist if you are making the sticky elements meet within the core... I'm guessing that is your 1st little one? Eventually swaddlers will probably be out the window & you can be shopping whatevers on sale along with your coupon! Good good fortune!!

baby #1 9lbs 1ounce 21 inches--boy
baby #2 8 lbs 9.5 ounces 19.5 inches-boy
baby#3 7 lbs 6.5 ounces 20 inches-girl
and I was 7 lbs 5 ounces 18 inches
also interesting to note that the third one I had gestational diabetes and "they say" that that makes bigger babies.....hmmmm

Haven't had my second yet but my doctors says shes big. My first daughter was 6 pounds 3 ounces.

My first was 7pounds 14 ounces she was 11 days late though. My son was 6 pounds and 15.5 ounces and he was right on time!

My first, a girl, was 8lbs 9oz, while my second - a boy - was 10bls10oz! The midwife told me that, if I had another, it would probably be around the 12lb mark.
And that's something I just can't face!!

I have 4 kids - All my kids have come 2-4 weeks early...
1st - 5 lb. 4 oz.
2nd - 6 lb 12 oz.
3rd - 6 lb 7 oz.
4th - 7 lb. 3 oz.

my second was 2 pounds heavier and 3 inches longer, both were full term, first was a girl, second was a boy
