Not having to protect yourself from what you always were protected from simplifies your decision-making process - but - it also sharply and permanently limits untold future opportunities which you really should evaluate before slamming the door to them.
Security if like a part of your body, once you cut it off, its gone.

I would let it go for unlimited adventure. I do think there is any real security any way. Just when you think you have something solid, it falls apart.
