NOT A BIG CHRISTMAS FAN!!!, (as you can tell)

Even though Christians adopted Christmas (christian given name) from the Pagans and the many traditions come from many different cultures and there is no proof Jesus (reason for holiday) was born on that day, it is still the one day of the year set aside to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. If you can manage to get past the commercialism of the holiday, it is actually a very wonderful time of year. Most of us, at least I wasn't, brought up being taught that Christmas is about the birth of Jesus and giving, not getting and this presents a problem for us. Even this country has made Christmas a money maker, that is what is truly disgusting. I try to tell my kids what Christmas is about so they understand that it's not about getting 300 presents and things like that. I remember one year I wanted a typewriter and didn't get one and I threw a fit. I don't want my kids thinking what I thought about Christmas, they may grow up to be bitter about the celebration of our Saviors birth.

Neither am i. Personally i think everyone has lost the real meaning of Christmas and has made it all about material items. How many and how much. Decorations, food, and the music. Yeah i cringe. It will be over soon anyway.

I love christmas and all but they advertise it waaaaay to much! People just like it 'cause they get presents. They are sooooo greedy

my husband and I don't, just another day to us, but we do buy small gifts for our grandchildren, seeing their happy little faces makes us happy!!!!
