Good bands? Popular in the 80's and 90's..... I wasn't born then, but it's weird how almost no one has ever heard of Motley Crue or any good hair metal bands....I miss 'em...even though Motley Crue did come out with a new album. I mean I miss Warrant, and Poison, and KISS, Guns N' Roses and Aerosmith....They grew onto me when my oldest sister was in High School and I was just 5 or 6 years old....anyone else miss those bands?

The BM,

I guess I pretty much agree, I was born in 1993 and haven't really heard too much great music ever since I can remember.

Man Pink Floyd! Love him too! Miss all the good rock! Not all that new rap crap....it's not even music, just a beat.

I still listen to them all. And a lot of them are still around. In the past five years I have seen Motley Crue three times (not counting other shows of theirs), Poison 4 times, KISS times, Aerosmith 12 times, Cinderella twice, Faster Pussycat and Winger (lol, they always make me laugh) and Bon Jovi a handful of times. I love when these bands roll around and man, they still put on a hell of a show. I don't listen to hardly any new music. Add Ozzy into the above mix and I have all I need.

I really disagree with how you all are saying music has been going downhill.

I know all of those bands, and many more from that era but they don't do much for me. They all sound the same, all have the same lyrics, all have the same hooks. Just gets boring to me.

But now, with bands such as Radiohead, Sigur Ros, The Album Leaf, MuteMath, and many other groundbreaking bands...I have nothing to be bored with. I think now more than ever there's a resurgance in creative, interesting music.

Nope, many of them still tour and pack major arenas in this day and age.I doubt 5% of the stuff out now will be around in 10 yrs.Warrant still tours w a better singer(new disc out last year),Motley & Aerosmith just came off a huge tour together,Poison packed em in over the summer in outdoor venues,Kiss is heading out in 2007,and Axls GnR is packing arenas unless he cancells from too many drugs the night before. So whats your point,ya cant miss em if they are out there constantly touring.

I miss old "punk" bands more than anything else, The Clash, Sex Pistols, Iggy and the Stooges, Black Flag, Fugazi, etc. Also classics (though they are still around) like Pink Floyd and Rush. They have new music, but it is definately not the same as it was before.
