I HAVE a warm winter with clouds and rain most days and I think I would rather have snow, except that when we get snow we get to close schools and work and stay home. If we could still do that, I would like snow. Otherwise, I'll probably keep the rain. It's gross, but it doesn't kill you.

The best way to stay warm if you don't have the luxury of heaters is to get under a thick blanket completely naked. Yes I know this sounds counter-intuitive, but this is really the best way. The trick is, your body heat warms up the air trapped beneath the blanket which in turn warms your skin. If you have clothing on it poses a barrier between your body and the air, making it harder to warm the air up. Another neat trick is to get completely under the blanket and tuck it under your butt, forming a tent sort of. This should only be done once you are already warming up a little, but when you do this it gives you more air to warm up, making it take longer to reach maximum temperature, but it seems to get warmer that way in the long run to me.
