I am stuck on what to buy for my 5 year old niece and my 1 year old nephew.....anyone have any ideas??

One yr old: Mobile, musical toys
Both: if you can find someone that still sells tupperwear (there's a kiosk for it at our mall) they have an incredible toy that is snap together animals that are lightwt but hard enough to stand up to abuse and chewing. We got them for our nieces at that age, and they both played with them for yrs. The set is an elephant, a dog, and a giraffe. Also, the old classic potato head. Story/picture books, Disney DVD's, and puzzles with large, colorful pieces.
Five yr old: Find out what her favorite cartoon character is, or what she likes and has her room decorated in. When my niece had her thing for butterflies, I got her a couple of large fuzzy butterfly pillows, and she loved those things for years. It was like a favorite stuffed animal. Also - posters for her room in the characters she likes. Does she like music or is she interested in a musical instrument, sport, dancing? She's not too young to start playing one, and you can pick up a refurbished, used one reasonable at a store like Music-Go-Round. We bought one of our nieces and later a nephew, an inexpensive guitar there, and the DVD to teach the lessons, and both can play quite well now.

for the 5 year old, dolls and doll accessories like bottles, a stroller that kinda stuff. Play makeup, coloring books, movies are always good, you could get her a gift cert for Build A Bear, kids love that place. For the 1 year old, I have a 1 year old son, Cars, trucks(especially ones that make noise), balls, babies like more simple things they get frustrated with things that do too much.

I have 2 daughters ages 8 and 5...they love bratz. There are bratz dolls, games, clothing. My son is 3 and he loves thomas the tank engine, there are several toys for thomas, he also loves bob the builder. Good Luck!!

Hi!I'm a boy so I can't help U with girltoys,but 4 the boy U should buy LEGO DUPLO(is werry colored).When he will get biger,U can buy LEGO SYSTEM or THECHNIC because it will inprove his creatibility skill and the colorsenses.

i have a four year old sister and she loves anything pink, with princesses, or Dora. At their age it doesn't really matter what you get them, they will love it anyway
