Are you getting your child support? If not - what excuse does the non custodial parent use to evade paying you? And what are you doing to make them pay?

Well he uses his 3 felonies he is on probation for as an excuse to not have a job for 8 months so he can pay me. He says that if he could get a job (which I know he can he's just lazy and would rather live off his parents...hes 22... than to actually work for a living) then he would help me every way he can. After 8 months of BS and lies, I had it and went to Child Support enforcement. Someone will make him pay. Funny thing is he claim to love his daughter SOOOOOOOOO much and yet he just sits back and tries to take credit for everything. I RAISED HER TO BE WHAT SHE IS, NOT HIM AND I'LL BE ****** IF HE IS GOING TO GET AWAY WITH BEING A 22 YEAR OLD DEADBEAT WITH NOT JUST 1 BUT 2 KIDS! Sorry for the venting, lol.

My problem is that I have sole custody of my two daughters and my ex-wife is about $15,000.00 in arrears in child support, and every time I find her and try and get her wages garnished, she quits her job. I can't seem to get her arrested, she moves around a lot, but many judges don't want to lock up a woman, but I bet if it was me owing the child support, they would be putting my butt in jail. I am at my wits end, but I have gone this far without her support and "my" daughters are prospering well, and I Thank God every day for that, and thats all that really matters. Yes, I could use the money for my girls, but we have gone long enough without it, but one day it will come back to haunt her.

I'm am getting a very "minimal amount". I've started an upgrade on the support back in Feb. first trying to go thru the ex (he never paid for anything above and beyond the support). I ended up going thru Child Support and its been waiting on a decision from the judge. The thing holding it up is a two week period. Its unreal how they can hold up support for a stupid reason. I hope he can live with hisself. He never paid for his other two kids either!

Nowadays in California, there aren't any excuses. You pay or you go to jail, point blank. It will start to accrue if they don't work, eventually their license is suspended and if the balance goes too high a warrant is issued for your arrest. Best nowadays to just help pay for your child that YOU made.

male or female, they ALL have excuses. some even go have more children while claiming they cant afford the child support.
the honor systems doesnt work. jail sometimes helps get a payment out of them.

Go to court and petition for a child support order, or get an attorney to assist you. You breed, you feed - the courts have become very serious on this issue!

I got one purge payment he made to get himself out of jail. He says he can't afford it. (he works 2 jobs & has no bills). I contacted the state child support enforcement agency through the dept. of human services and they put a pitbull attorney after him. At no cost to me.

My Ex is the only female in the US to have a 4th felony non-support
her way out of paying, dont work!

I was. He gambled it away. The courts took care of that.
