I have stopped hanging around with a group of people where I live but they still hang in the hallway part on the stairs ,what should I do?If I answer the door they might start trouble with me and there are loads of them. They only bring trouble to my place and take advantage of my shy persona because they know that I am vulnerable.

I dont thinkit would be a good idea to move, because that in a way would be like running away from the problem, and plus I will see the magain eventually in my life!

Look up social services in you area. Phone them and try to get an appointment to discuss your vunerability and the problems your having.

Oh I do feel for you. You need to try to be more assertive in yourself generally. I would say the easy option is to move and don't tell them where you have moved to. You must try to make new friends. Join a club or volunteer and if you try to come out of your shell you should meet new people. What about your work? Can you not be a bit more friendly there and try to get to know people. Alternatively, do you know somebody who you consider to be strong and who you admire? If so, I would strike up a conversation with them and say how you admire their confidence. Perhaps get into a conversation about how you are feeling. You never know, they might take you under their wing. If you are feeling vulnerable then you will be vulnerable. Another way to get to know different people is to join a church. I am sure if you told the members there what is happening they will rally round and visit you. You mustn't face these worries alone. It is difficult to advise you as I do not know how old you are but the best solution is to remove yourself away from these people and go all out for meeting new people. Be kind, be nice but don't be a push over and stay away from dodgy people. Don't get involved. Hope it all works out for you. Merry Christmas x

Its not a cowardly thing to move away from there as fast as you can. It is the wise thing to do. If they hang around in hallways then they aren't likely to be caring types of people. Visit your Social services and tell them you are extremely anxious about this situation and feel unable to go out. Also visit your local citizens advice bureau. Good luck.
