Yes - and that's not racist. We are overcrowded and our services are breaking down. House prices have been forced up to such unrealistic levels by the housing demands of so many new people - 2 million homes provided for immigrants since 1997 because they all have to live somewhere. Where will this all end?

It's not about immigration - it's about integration. Most immigrants speak English - many asylum seekers don't because they didn't plan on coming here (the genuine ones!).
I think one of the first things all entrants to this country - any country in fact (including the British people who move to Spain) should do is learn the bleeding language!
It would also stop them being conned into working 72 hour weeks for 10p an hour.

I have to agree totally that the cost of hosting people from other countries, handing them money to get established, a lot of times giving them welfare, allowing them to buy up so many businesses and get so ingrained in our way of life is just ruining things for us. Why can't they get a grip on their economy so that they stay where they are?
I recently learned how much time is devoted in our school system here to helping non-English speaking children learn English in public school. It really pissed me off because that is time taken away from our kids to teach these people something that they should learn on their own. It's bulls**t.
How many jobs would there be for Americans if they all went home? How much money would the country save if they all went home?

I don't think you are racist, but it's really no one person's or even one country's call to say whether or not some one may leave a certain area (esp. if famine or a destitute nature is present in said country they are leaving) and immigrate to another. The history of mankind is based on immigration. Let the best survive and the others die out. Either compete or don't. It's up to you.

I think we need some perspective. I am a British born Muslim of south Asian descent and I do not think you are a racist for calling for a halt on immigration. The truth of the matter is that this government will not admit to the failing's of the home office, for it is their job to police our borders and ensure that the correct number of people enter our country, remember that we pay these people to do the job. Blame is wholly on the government and no-one else. This government is trying to save themselves by blaming the immigrants.

Yes you should learn the language of the country you're in, but to stop all immigration would be reckless and bad in the long run.

No but I would think you were stupid considering your grandiosity never suggested you learn how to spell immigration. Guess you should have been carrying your little book around when you weren't abroad too.
