is it possible for the pop ups to show in the search history, cos i found porn on my computer and it is only during the time frame that my husband was on, and he is saying that they were pop ups, and i am having a really hard time believing him when i see all this on the computer. ( please refrain from any rude comments, this is a very hard time and i'd appreciate it if the mean comments were left out ) thank you in advance

Well, I just checked my history and my pop ups did not come up. So, the answer is NO.

The search history is stored locally and is all about your own machine. Regardless of whether anyone is piggybacking off your wireless signal (which is difficult if you encrypt it right - google "wpa encryption" and look for a how-to), they wouldn't be able to get to your search history, much less modify it. Their searches would be saved on their own computer.

Pop-ups will not show up in the search history. If it is there is was searched for. Sorry to have to tell you that.

If you want to test him, run a small cleanup utility. It will clear the search history so if it shows up again you will know for sure he searched for it.

SEARCH history, no. In your regular browser history, yes they will show up there.
