Hello, What does "Modelling in Escel " mean ?

I can use Excel for creating spreadhseets etc, but I have never come across this phrase, what does it involve or mean ?

Virtually everything done in Excel is a model because the spreadsheets you create are mathematical models of the business you are conducting.

If I remember back to my GSCE days, modelling means to construct a "model" of a system using Excel after being given information about the system.

I.E. a shopping centre has 5 staff who work 5 hours each; model this.

The only modeling I know of in Excel is a solver problem model. I have never used this and the Excel help is not the best way to learn. If this is what you are looking for try this site

Depends on the context, but I've come across the phrase used to describe a "what if?" exercise, that is altering some data on a spreadsheet to see what effect that has on the outcome.
