This sounds like a song by "They might be giants".

Now it's over, I'm dead and I haven't done anything that I want, or I'm still alive and there's nothing I want to do.

If you're alive and you intend to remain that way, there's always stuff you need to do like breathe, drink, eat etc.

In answer to your question though, you'll ultimately end up as the former even if you think you're the latter.

Cheers.

........ so that somebody will look up your trouser pocket , after you are dead , and take out the "list of things" that you had wanted to do and could not do in your lifetime! They will conclude that you died heartbroken with a lot of failures.

The other alternative? Die in harness, doing something. Even the "doing nothing" is doing. Atleast that you can do better and die doing that!

No friend, no one , just no one can be in this world , alive doing nothig. We all do something. Useful or useless, does not matter.

Dead with a list of things to do means one of two things : you had a full life and were busy or you have ADHD.

Dead with nothing to do means you probably died alone.

I'll take the former!

This is a pseudodelemma. Who cares about lists when he is dead? And is there a living person with absolutely nothing to do? Dont think so....

mm
if you are alive and convinced you have nothing to do - that is, life's a waste - you're probably dead before your body noticed.

now, seriously, as long as you live, your imagination will figure out a way to keep you going.

Good question!!

Alive or dead, there is always a lot to do. 'Nothing to do' translates into 'a lot to worry about' and worry is more taxing than work!!
