Since you spelled libertarians with a small "L" I assume you mean the political philosophy, not the party. Most libertarians believe in small, non-intrusive government, meaning than people are free to make all of the decisions that affect their daily lives. Libertarians are akin to "classic liberals", upon who's ideals this country was founded. Modern liberals have strayed a great distance from these ideals, as have modern conservatives. Was that rational enough?

They have some good ideas but also have some weird ideas, but they are m,ore rational than Liberals.
I had considered converting to libertarian but there are a few things i don't agree with. The Constitution party is better.

Libertarians seem more rational than the big 2 parties these days. More personal responsibility for individuals and less government interference in people's lives makes a whole lot of sense to me.

Are you?

I love how everyone tries to make points with thier politcal questions now. Yes, Libertarians are quite rational. In fact they have a very constitutional view of government as opposed to those who abuse it.

You must be joking.

The libertarians are fiscally conservative without the fascist religious BS of the republicans.

They support personal responsibility, and are against socialist programs.

They are all for personal freedom to do anything you want as long as you are not hurting someone else.

They are also against any form of gun control other than being able to hit your target.

I don't think its a real party. I think its like 10 people on Yahoo Answers who think its a national movement.

So, they probably are not capable.

All the ones I have held conversations with, yes.

I seriously doubt you are capable of rational thought, though.
