Well you know how to use media player, it is just that the file you are trying to play needs additional codecs. You can download codecs for free. just go o google and type is K-Lite codec pack and then download the FULL one. This should resolve this problem

There's a video with the song? If so then you have to choose another type of music player such as winmedia or something.

It can't be like that your don cd must be not properly made it happens like that only music comes pic not there k so play some another good movie like DHOOM2 andtell me if it worked.

maybe it an audio disc? or you can try doing nothing when the auto play menu pop up. and then manually open the WMP then click play and choose your CD-ROM / DVD-ROM
