In the 4th Test of Ashes 1956 against Australia played at Old
Trafford, Manchester from 26th to 31st July, 1956, Mr. Laker took 10 wickets in Australia's second Innings from 51.2 overs, conceding 53 runs. 23 overs were Maidens.
In the first innings of Australia on the same match, he took 9 wickets from 16.4 overs, conceding 37 runs. Thus he had the
